5. The last thing I would want on a deserted island would be my family.  To me, a guy who says his wife, is a selfish person wanting someone he loved to endure hardships along with him.  Of the whole group, Tancredo and Brownback have the best answers that show leadership.  Their answers indicate they are thinking of survival and a way to escape.

7. WTF?: Brownback.  I am dying to know why a tarp would be what he thought of first.

   You would use a tarp to build a shelter against the wind and rain.  In a survival situation, shelter and water must be your first thoughts.

8. Brownback suggested a tarp for shelter.  With a tarp you could use it as a sail for your boat.  Noticed that no one suggested a fully equipped survival kit.  Unfortunately Tancredo is a one issue candidate (immigration) who needs to expand beyond that one issue.

9. Actually, you could even build a boat with the tarp so Brownback gets 2nd place.

   Tancredo is awesome.

   Imagine his answer to this question: It is 9/14/2001 and you were just told that 15 of the 19 assholes (that murdered 3,000 of the people you are sworn to protect) are from Saudi Arabia. What do you do?
