Put a sock in it!

  1. Each dryer is part Tardis, much bigger inside than outside, vastly, infinitely bigger.
All the socks in the known universe could fit inside one Maytag.  Looking for them is futile.  But rest assured that in some other reality another being of some kind has warm feet, or tentacles, or flippers or… anyway. that’s my theory.

  2. And a very well fed Great Dane?

    Or Trey Parker’s Underpants Gnomes.

Or Terry Pratchett’s Uncommon Sock Eater (glingle glingle).

Or even today’s Day By Day comic strip on the right sidebar??

  3. Can the Day by Day on the right sidebar. Nobody reads it. It only slows up the rest of the site.

Uncommon Sock Eater? Thought I’d read all of his stuff. Don’t recall that one.

  4. Sock Eater lives in the basement of UU, in the laundry. Came into existence at the suggestion of the Dean, when there was an excess of belief floating around in Hogfather. It’s still there 2 dozen books later in Unseen Academicals.

I read the Day by Day strip every day. Author Chris Muir and I have communicated a number of times over the years; I’m pretty sure he reads this blog. If there’s a “doesn’t get read” it’s hoary old Dilbert. OTOH, who doesn’t have the bandwidth these days? We’re all out there streaming movies and videos and 3D graphics onto all our portable devices through public WiFi and our cell phone minutes, right, like on the TV ads??

  5. I thought everyone read Day by Day!  I feel so alone.
