  1. "Vilmar has promised to stand outside in the rain and thunder and lightning and high winds and practice his primal scream therapy. I told him it wouldn’t work. The Democrats will still be here after the storm passes. Ain’t that a shame?”

Well maybe Charlie will deal the blue end of the state an Andrew and those folks will give up and move back where they came from…

Nah thats just too mean wink

  2. Batten down the hatches, Vilmar........living through a hurricane ain’t nothing- been there many times growing up in N.E. We have tornado’s here in Missouri- when the sky turns green I get scared sh**less.........give me a hurricane anyday.........

  3. well isn’t THIS just peachy:

Kids and I are in VA Beach.

Hubby JUST transferred to NAS Pensacola this week for two months of Class A ‘Aircraft Mechanic’ school...(cross rating cause submarine service is, well, I can’t describe it in nice words...)

During Isabel the kids and I hightailed it to a friend’s house in FL while hubby was on the submarine (and the CO decided he wanted to take a looksee in the middle of said hurricane so up to periscope depth they went...)

Not quite sure what we’ll do now…

  4. As a born and bred mid-westerner, I’ve never been in a hurricane. A tornado hit not to far from here once- but I’ve never been in one of those either. MAN. I want to enjoy a natural disaster.
Mid-Westerners NEVER get in on any of the fun!

  5. Never fear, everyone! Our fearless Benevolent Dictator has promised to huff and puff and blow the storm away. That’s right! Vilmar will miraculously destroy the storm by ranting directly into its face until it crawls away whimpering and whining.

    Go get ‘em, DAWG!

  6. Folks,

While some may ponder role of Texas based oil companies. Let us all give thanks to Red Adair. He never saw a fire he couldn’t put out.

  7. Dottie, glad to see someone else from Missouri on here.

  8. I’m huffing and puffing.  Stars are out.  No clouds in the sky.  It must be working.

Can you hear me?  Can you hear me ...now?  (hey, I was doing some primal screaming, too!)

  9. Whenever a hurricane approaches, we see pictures of people nailing plywood over windows. Why not storm shutters?

  10. Living only minutes from Vilmar’s house I hope that he is successful. Two Hurricanes hitting Florida in a matter of days sucks. Scream oh mighty dictator scream. We’ve had enough rain already. Let the Force of the evil Dictator banish all hurricanes from our area.

  12. I’m from NC, and I happen to know that both of these hurricanes are a part of a plot by Bush and Cheney to get John Edwards out of the race for a week so that Kerry will be left with no choice but to stand on TV and look like a horsefaced moron.

“Hurricane 9/11” - a new film by Michael “Deep-Fried Dounut” Moore.

  13. 5Minutes:  hilarious!!  (but I wouldn’t be surprised if some dummycrap actually does try to blame the administration for capitalizing on these storms.

  14. Worked late- missed news & weather- what’s up with hurricanes Bonnie & Clyde (ooppss, Charley)? My son in Norfolk, VA, called & left a message that his father (my *spit* ex *spit*) who, along with his new little family, have been visiting Mike, left Virginia today because “THE HURRICANES ARE COMING”!!!! What a moonbat- it’ll be days before the storms go up the coast.........
Hi to you to, Bob.....Where are you in Missouri?

Posted by Dottie    United States   08/12/2004  at  11:18 PM

  15. am I the ONLY one who gets along well with her ex?
    He’s a bit of a moonbat, but he’s a decent moonbat-now that we don’t share the same house*grin*

  16. Consider yourself lucky, Barb, for getting along with your ex.  Mine hasn’t spoken to me since the day I had “the nerve” to divorce him and “take half my money"- never mind that the state of Missouri considered it my right for half of it all after 28 years of “wedded bliss” -hahaha.  Never mind that he had an affair with a woman of another color & when she got pregnant, he hoped it was his (she was married) & if her husband didn’t want the child, he’d bring it home for me to raise-yeah right. She miscarried so that ended that scene......I could go on & on, but you get the drift.......
