10. Just FYI...The National Security Act of 1947 changed the name of the War Department to the Department of the Army.  SecDef was created entirely out of thin air to oversees the Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

    That said, I think it’s high time SecDef became SecWar and screw the tradition.
