Pravda Flips Out

 

1. Just the usual socialist-Communist blather.

   Seems to me that a growing People’s Republic of China is a much greater threat to Russian Siberia than a distant USA.  Russia’s population is experiencing a negative growth rate while China’s (even with Dracoian birth control) continues to grow.

   Even during the Cold War, the Soviet Strategic Rocket Forces had more missiles pointed at China than at the US and Western Europe.

   Biggest difference between us and China is that we’ll buy the oil while the Red Dynasty of the PRC may just march in a take it.

2. I NEVER took Pravda.ru seriously, especially when they “illustrated” stories about Soviet UFO efforts with a shot from the old British TV series ”UFO!" They’re just out to make a ruble or two, just like the Weekly World News!

4. There is more to this than meets the eye.  And I go along with Major Mike.

   The Chicomms have little oil of their own, and like Imperial Japan in World War II, they may either go south and seize it from Indonesia and waste a few million towlies (no grief in that), or go north and seize it from Ivan. 

   It can be no accident that Ivan recently began trying to butter up the Chicomms.  They know the dragon’s oil hunger as well as anyone else does.  This article sounds like part of an appease-the dragon propaganda campaign.
