Knowing what it can do is the reason that most of us are worried about it being in the hands of unstable regimes who have already promised to use it.

When was the last time you heard any President threatening nuclear devastation to any enemy?
I’ll remind you that Harry Truman refused to allow Douglas McArthur to use nuclear weapons when the Chinese poured over the Korean border. The “old soldier” wanted something like 150-200 of them deployed to turn the Chinese tide.
