We can talk to these people until we are blue in the face. They just won’t get it. Ever.
It isn’t a question of need.
It isn’t a question of want.
It isn’t about hunting. Or target shooting.
It isn’t a question about feeling safe.
It’s all of them, yet it’s so very much more. It’s a fundamental aspect of being an American. Of not being oppressed by kings or other tyrants. Of being self-reliant in all situations. Of not being slaves or serfs but instead being free. Of being able to say what you want, go where you want, do what you want, own what you want, and believe what you want and having the personal ability to protect all of that.
We are not sheep, yet we are not always shepherds or sheep dogs. And you can explain this to those who can only say “baa-baa” and eagerly line up for their shearing, and they will NEVER understand. Because they can only be sheep, and can not visualize a world where there are anything but sheep.
Well said as usual.
In my personal case I have to say, since I am not a hunter and haven’t lived in an environment where that would have been an option, I regard a hand gun like many you’ve featured here, as self defense. Especially in the home.
I thought the question from the paper was pretty dumb though, since the answer should have been right in front of them. It’s as if their attitude is well, if I’m attacked in my home or mugged in the street, there’s always NHS to patch us up unless we are killed. They really are nuts. And over here so help me, being offed not out of the equation. And if I am reasonably informed about crime cos I read their papers, why aren’t they?
Sitting Ducks is what they are and would be happy to see the rest of population the same.
Seems that way.
How has THIS nation sunk to the point where we have panty waist retards on tv telling us we don’t need guns to be safe? Guess they don’t allow gangs and pushers into their gated fantasy lands. You dorks wonder why all you want and I’ll be cleaning my guns.
