Hey ... before shutting down I discovered the worst news ....
Brown elected gov. Calif.
Well damn it all ... %$£!!£%&^%£$!!!*7^**
I guess we won’t be going back to Calif. any time soon. DAMN! I never really thought they’d give Moonbeam another go.
Hey ... do you have an extra room?
How could Californians do that to themselves? How? Now I know why the term LaLa Land.
Never mind the room. I’m looking for a safe quiet cave.
Last night I was up due to a rotten cough.
Tonight I’ll be up all aggravated and frustrated cos my state got it wrong. Again. Oh damn oh damn! Calif. is now DOOMED!
There’s a tear in my beer .. Moe Bandy
Because they are dumb like the morons here in oregon( small O is pointed)who elected the guy who had the seat before the current jackass for 8 years. So we get 4 and probably 8 more years of do nothing dem worship here. YAY
But the teacher union will be happy.
From up here in Canada, I’m pretty pleased with the election results I saw this week in the USA - you folks did well.
As for California (and other states like Massachusetts): Some folks you just can’t help. You can repeatedly show the stubborn an escape route from the end they have chosen for themselves, but if they don’t take it, eventually they’ll reach the “too late” point, and all you can do is watch them crash into the jagged rocks at the bottom of the cliff they dove off without any thought for the consequences.
The hard part is standing firm and saying, “You made this fate for yourselves, you figure your OWN way out of it, we will not bail you out. It’s time to grow up and act like adults, and not petulant children. EARN your own way out of it.”
I’m hoping that the House of the 112th Congress is quite willing to stonewall in this regard, both to remind the President that he doesn’t have the power of allocating budget at his own personal discretion without a financial bill agreed upon by both houses of Congress, and also to tell the Senate: “We won’t go along with ANY more bailouts first because we shouldn’t, and second because we’re already so deeply in debt, that we won’t be that irresponsible with the citizens’ money entrusted to our stewardship.”
The last few Congress sessions were woefully inadequate in their stewardship.
Not much better here in MD. They re-elected Steny Hoyer AND Martin O’Malley here *facepalm*
