Planning To Move Soon?

 

1. *headdesks* You’d have to post that TODAY when they’re packing up the last of our stuff for a move to Maine....

   This’ll be our second military move. First one (from civillian apt to base housing) went off without a hitch. *crosses fingers* here’s hoping for another good move.

2. I used to be a mover. Had a company even.
   Worked in NYC, the hardest. Was personally
   asked by Wells Bekins to teach moving and
   storing to van liners. Dude, I could frost
   your flakes with the horror stories. BUT,
   If anybody, anywhere needs some advice on
   how to make it better, cheaper and less
   stressful ... I’ll be right here. BTW, I
   used to be a commercial fisherman too ...
   don’t ask!!! Hell, I used to be a floor
   broker on the COMEX ... if ya REALLY want
   to hear some horror stories. Taxi driver
   too. Got ‘em all. All the horror that you
   could possibly (or not) stomach. I’ll be
   here for any questions. And since I’m ...
   retired ... I’ll give ya the true poop.

4. I’ve moved several times overseas with my government job. Only had one bad experience: movers in Baltimore stole my kid’s piggybank full of half-dollars. They got away with over $100 worth of JFK 50-cent pieces. Had to stop them from loading a heavy sleeper sofa on top of my TV as well.
