  3. Years ago, before 9/11 and TSA, there was a bit of advice for people flying: don’t make jokes about bombs and hijacking.  A corollary: it’s a bad idea to get shitfaced drunk at an airport or on a plane.

  4. Ah yes, a long time ago and in a different galaxy (no wait, it was CGV) I pushed open the first door at the airport and was between doors when I uttered the phrase - I should high jack a plane to Montana - Now I was 17, female and there to pick up the Uncle of my boyfriend - who was with me.

Before I could utter what’s going on - I was in a small locked room - scared to death - not of them, but rather what my mom would say and do when told I was arrested for whatever the heck they called it back then (1972). And also very, very angry that these guys did not get a joke when they heard it. However, I was looking forward to the cred points I was going to get in HS - as being one of the Invisibles - I needed them.

Long story, short - turns out the boyfriend’s Uncle actually worked for Airline Security in LA - so the vile high jacker to MT was set free when the local idiots realized who they were dealing with. To this day, I do not think my Mom even knows about this event.

This is the problem with government - common sense is not a part of the equation - EVER.
