Pirates Seize Chinese Ship

 

1. Well Drew, While your doing windows the pirates are doing what they do. It pays better and so far they get away much of the time. Maybe you should think about a career change in light of this. You could hire yourself out as the IT guy for those mother ships and make things better for those poor destitute pirates and their families.

2. China’s attitude to human rights is rather different than our liberal bed wetting approach. I would even go so far as to say that they would consider the hostages expendable. However the Chinese do operate in a rather cautious manner outside their own borders. I agree the Chinese are trying to corner the market on resources in Africa but the only resource the Somalis have in abundance are people. It’s certainly the only growth industry/export. I would like to see China kick the stuffing out of Somalia.

4. It’d be interesting to see China send in troops to re-take that ship, then tie spears to the deck rails, and impale every pirate on board on them while sailing in front of the Somali ports.

5. We should have never mothballed the battleships. Nothing like 45,000 tons of pissed off steel standing 25 miles off your coast pounding you to dust. In Somali’s case, we’d be pounding their rubble into dust. The whole freaking country is nothing but a hellhole waiting for Extreme Makeover to visit so they can be upgraded to a shithole.

6. Should be pretty easy to determine the identity of the ‘mother ships’.
   Sink ‘em.  Two missiles.  Pfffft.

   Declare a moratorium of 5 years on ANY ships going out from Somalia.
   Sink anything that moves within sight of shore so that the message is recieved.

   All it takes is a little guts and this would all be over....
