1. Correctomundo Christopher, I was refering to you not hyphenating American. I spent my whole life knowing all kinds of folks and never was the first thing I required some color,religion etc before making social contact. Sadly many of said colors,religions etc do make these demands and to this day it disgusts me. Have a great week.

   The hyphenated-american thing didn’t even cross my mind. I was thinking that no nationality-based moniker tell us much about race. Nations are not the same as races. I made the point that ‘Mexican’ is not a race. Nor is ‘French’ a race. What do you have in France? Franks, Vandals, Burgundians, Normans, Romans (if you go back far enough) Swiss, etc.

   In fact, nationality is part of what is plaguing Africa. The so-called ‘nations’ are just the debris of the old colonial powers and don’t match up with traditional tribal boundaries. But even in Africa, there’s no such thing as an African-*(fill in the blank). You’ve got Hutus, Pygmies, Bushmen, Tutsi (the Watusi of King Solomon’s Mines fame), Berbers, any number of Arab tribes, etc.

   I laugh when someone uses ‘African-America’ because racially both words mean nothing. Taken together… makes for some sad comedy.

   I’m reminded, and I tried to find the story, but an actual African-American student, in Florida, I think, was denied either admittance or participation in an African-American school club. Why? He was white. He was indeed a naturalized African-American from South Africa. An actual African-American was denied admittance to a club specifically aimed at African-Americans on the basis of race.

   Now, how many so-called ‘African-Americans’ can even find Africa on a map? They’re Democrats! They don’t even know that Arizona and Mexico share a border!

   Now, tell me, who are the racists?
