2. If the INS was smoking out illegal aliens, the story would be a lot more interesting. Doesn’t California catch on fire every year? Why is it this year the drive by media is over reporting? Oh yeah, Glowbull warming!

4. Catalina Island has not had a major fire in many years.  One of the problems is that about 3/4s of the island is a conservatory project.  The environmentalists will not allow the underbrush to be cleaned as it would upset native species.  They removed the wild goats about 10 years ago that kept the underbrush cropped back.  But the goats were not native, so they had to be rounded up and removed.

   Don’t you just love environmentalists who never think through their concepts?

5. Bill, it was that very thought about the goats, the growth of the underbrush a la the environmentalists policy of “hands-off” that inspired today’s Motivational Poster. I couldn’t resist. The devil made me do it.
