I’ll take a shot in the dark at Baghdad, Skipper.
Nah, too much water. Not enough sand in this shot.
Oakland Ca?
Lack of Roads gives it away
Venice
Venice is my guess too.
Venice it is! See the gondolas?
Venice is my guess too.
And also I’m guessing it was taken in 2001.
Its got to be venice, You can see the Grande canal and Piaza San Marco. Been there for a whole day in that area. very nice buildings but the waters got more junk floating in it then you can believe.
The gondolas don’t really float here - they skim atop the trash in the water. It’s just disgusting. Intriguing city, though. You just don’t ever want to fall into the drink.
How’s about N’awlins?
Mexico City would have looked like that 2000 years ago.
My first thought was Venice. At least there wasn’t any of this searching the net for an hour stuff, like last time.
Sorry I missed it, Skip. I’m not accustomed to viewing things from the air. Not like looking through a periscope, you know.
Pluver!
You lost your periscoper privileges when you joined forces with the Captain for the besmirching of yores truly.
Humph! And *I* get to steer.
Stupid asteroid. Where IS it???
It’s probably swinging around the perigee of its orbit, somewhere far out in interstellar space beyond Pluto’s orbit. Probably a matter of some years before its orbit carries it back in this far.
Shux. I’ll be an old man by then.
Right here, my dear!
BOOM!
Dammit all! See how the years take their toll! I should said apogee of its orbit, not perigee!
Grrrrrrrr....
Oh, and Phoenix, methinks someone is trying to give us a sendoff?
People have been pissing in Venice for thousands of years, sorry OCM.
Water pollution in Venice, go figure.
Earth would be OK if it were not for the humans.
Shanghi --one of the busiest port cities of the world? The several boats, various sizes, were clueful.
