Now, may I lobby once more for a posting of a Vallejo “Invictus?”

  3. We were out shooting last Saturday, when three red-tailed hawks showed up overhead.  Two males were apparently vying for the attentions of a female, and you could hear them calling from half a mile away or more.
Needless to say, all shooting stopped and everyone watched the birds.

Great picture there.  It looks almost too real.  I checked out the link below the pic - that guy’s got an eye for a picture, and a good shutter reflex.

  7. Real purty!  I have hawks all over the old quarry I live on.  Yellowtail mostly, with a creepy keening cry as he hunts.  I get the urge to run like a rabbit when I hear it.

  8. On my parents’ property (33 acres in southeastern KY) we joke that it’s an ongoing gang war between the crows and the hawks.

But even they get stopped when Fort Knox gets to boomin’ cause even with it being a 45 min drive away, the bigger bombs rattle the windows.

  9. Cool Eagles!
Btw-I’m bored with my little animae avatar.
I’ve always thought of myself as more of a demented Mary Englebreit character-or something sharky.
What can you find me. Pretty please.

  10. That is one damn good pick!

OCM - What is this I hear? You lit up your bong a little to close to a propane tank and burnt down a whole mountain lodge? What in the hell are you doing?
