But not at any price. Good work, Allan.
I think the most distorted word of late is “torture” when referring to happenings at Grab-an-Arab prison or Guitmo. From what I know, nothing happens there that freaks across the world don’t voluntarily submit themselves to at their favorite S&M clubs, but feel the need to call it torture if US soldiers are involved. You want torture? Come to my house and let me work on you for a few hours with a pair of pliers and a blow torch...now that would be torture…
PS - credit to Pulp Fiction for the pliers and blow torch motif.
And I’m glad to see you lumped “Hanoi Jane” in with Ward (Chief Moonbat) Churchill.
“An ostrich stuck his head in sand,
And flicked his tail with glee.
Said he, “If I can’t see my foe,
My foe cannot see me.
If quiet and long enough I wait,
The foe will surely pass,
And in the meantime, be it known,
The world can kiss my ass.”
Now startled was his foe to see
This target standing there,
With wits immobile, underground.
Thus quoth his foe, “I swear!
Can this poor idiot truly think
He plays a winning trick?
So nice of him, to offer such
A splendid ass to kick!”
That boot went into history,
Again, and yet again,
A lesson learned, and then let slip
By thrice-unnumbered men.
One thing in common had they all,
One common cross they bore.
Each thought himself a wiser man--
Then those that went before.”
Good one, Tannenberg.
Appreciate that, Wyrm.
