  1. Have they got one large enough to handle antlered rodents? Err I mean deer?
    Squirrel by day,
    Racoon by night,
    We need a way,
    To give them flight!

I have seen them chew their way through many things to get into houses. the latest one I saw chewed out the insulation arround A/C lines to get in. He got fried when he bit through the main power to the AC unit though.

  2. After last year - when they ate my corn, used the gezbo roof as a race track and left the peach pits on the ladder steps - it is not fatal enough for me. Not sure what is going on this year - as all I’ve seen of the varmints is them dashing through our yard like it is the Rio Grande and our neighbors yard is Texas. . .certainly not our dog, as he spends 23 hours of the day in a coma. But he is past his expiration date, so we let it slide.

Of course the fact that we have no fruit except grapes (netted) this year and I do believe my neighbor (other side) is not feeding the birds this year as she was last year. We also have blue jays (which I haven’t seen in a while) - no deer again this year - so heaven only knows what is going on in my little patch of hell on earth.

Just know, if these suckers go for the corn again - they will die horrible deaths. But I am ready with red pepper wash - take that.

I read an article last year about how nasty they can get - lucky for us that our local squirrels haven’t become suburban terrorists yet.

  4. Rancino,
Put a metal, grounded plate out with an insulated piece of fresh corn firmly tied to it and the corn hooked to standard 120 volt power. They bite the corn and die.

  5. Bushy tailed tree rats.  Chew up my deck, weasel their way into my attic and rob the bird feeders.  They are a general PITA.

My cats keep them at bay when they are on the back deck.  I use them for practice with my ancient Benjamin pump.  They learn quick, though.  When I crack open the back door, the veterans head for the lee side of the tall trees!

One poster on the video site recommended a plastic plate smeared with peanut butter floating on a brim-full plastic trash can.  Come out later and collect the drowned squirrels.  Gotta try that......

    Funny stuff!
