  1. Outside of the killer being black there isn’t much to raise the question of a race or hate crime in the bus case.  Guy was on the bus, acting odd, shifting seats and walking around.  He stood out as trouble.

Now there’s another article in the Daily Mail about a home invasion robbery.  In that case the attackers were very cold blooded.  There is a racial aspect to that one.  The assailants were both black and both acted as members of a black sub culture that glorifies violence and thuggery.

I look at the incidence of crime in black neighborhoods vs. white neighborhoods.  I look at black on black murders.  When 12% of the population commits over 50% of the violent crimes, I can no longer blame selective enforcement.  There now exists a violent and racially identifiable subculture that is a threat to everyone, black and white alike.

It all underscores the need for self protection.  Along with the self reliant mind set, comes an increased sense of social responsibility, that is an increased sense of responsibility to society as a whole.

Do armed citizens (as opposed to thugs) reduce crime?  Don’t be silly, we do.  The statistics don’t show up much, because things that don’t happen, don’t get recorded.  A classic example in my own life come from many years ago when I used a pistol to convince a mugger that he would really prefer a softer target.  Other than my memory and his, there is no record of the incident.

  2. True. I don’t care really that it was or wasnt a race thing. Point was that it was cold blooded perhaps-spontaneous murder in public. Loads of witnesses, I’m sure. Probably even CCTV on the bus. But had it happened here, had it been a white guy who cut a young black girl nearly in half with a knife, the baying of the race-hounds would echo from coast to coast. Even if he was just looking for an easy victim, perhaps like this freak was.

They’ve already banned the guns there. And they’ve pushed Diversity and Mult-Culti far harder than we have. And they have a Handout State and a Nanny State that put ours to shame. And they have extra soft policing, that is beyond kind and compassionate. Hell, it’s a CRIME to fight back against a burglar mugging you in your own home!

In other words, the place OUGHT to be so close to Socialist Utopia that you could smell the free fried chicken from here ... yet they STILL have deranged murderers stalking the streets. They STILL have people using weapons on others just for kicks. Going out in public is STILL a risk, especially for a young woman all alone. So obviously every last thing the Dems are pushing, post-Newtown, to “make it safer for the children” isn’t going to do jack shit: because over in the UK it’s all already been done, and plenty more. And crime and evil still exist, just as bad or worse.

    And yet ... they STILL

  3. It’s as bad in Ireland. Do you know I a 70 year old male with no prior convictions can be “arrested” if I’m walking down the main street in town and accidentally drop my pen-knife (3inch blade) while pulling out my handkerchief to wipe my nose.

And I would be arrested, charged and sent for trial because the laws are on the books and I’m a good source of revenue. I’d be lectured by some bald-headed buffoon of a judge on how I was carrying a concealed deadly weapon which is in direct contravention of law 1334 of the offences against the State act. Told I could face 5 years in jail, but I was to be given a suspended sentence and fined €1,000. (a financial win-win for the Irish government. Jailing someone costs the government money where as fining someone brings in money to the government).

In the meantime young, druggie punks with 80+ prior convictions are assaulting, robbing, randomly beating strangers and committing anti-social mayhem with instruments like broken bottles, cue sticks, lump hammers, axes and other lethal objects, but they’re not in the law books as “deadly weapons”. So they are given a pass by the Irish justice system. No sense in bring them to court.....they won’t show up......No sense in issuing a bench warrant.....The gardai (cops) won’t execute it even when they know the location of the thug.....No sense even fining them........They won’t pay.

Ireland SUCKS, big time.........My DEROS is 17 Sept.........Then I board the freedom-bird back to the States where there is, believe it or not, some assemblance of sanity.
