Time to close Washington DC. Make it into the Museum of American History, and move the Capitol to the Geographical center of the nation. Put All politicians in Federal prison doing hard labor, and start over. Never let there be such a lump of filth as a career politician again.

“FOX Chicago News reported that speculation is centering on juror Jo Ann Chiakulas of Willowbrook, after a second-hand acquaintance said that she has been saying for weeks that she would find Blagojevich not guilty.”
Discussing a case with anyone other than with another juror within the jury room itself is a huge breech of court rules. If it’s true, at the very least this gal could be facing time in Cook County Jail for contempt of court.
“Department of Public Health Director John Lumpkin named Jo Ann Chiakulas of Chicago as the first special assistant for minority affairs, effective September 16. Chiakulas is charged with setting up and supervising the department’s new Chicago-based Center for Minority Health Services. Created by H.B. 1216 (PA. 87-633), the center will evaluate the health needs of minorities in Illinois, provide training and technical assistance and improve coordination and communication with minority groups. FWIW, the CMHS, while Chiakulas was there, was folded into the DPH under her & John Lumpkin (MD)… which ought to ring a bell as the good Dr. Lumpkin & his staff (including Chiakulas) was instrumental in the Hospital Management Career of one…

Lumpkin came from a well known Chicago Communist Party family. When John Lumpkin unsuccessfully stood for Alderman in Chicago’s 7th Ward in 1979, the “Committee to Elect Dr. John R. Lumpkin” was led by several Communist Party members, as well as activists Timuel Black and Quentin Young.
Black and Young both went on to join Democratic Socialists of America. Both also became personal friends, mentors and political supporters of Barack Obama. Quentin Young was Obama’s personal physician at one stage and attended the famous meeting where Obama’s political career was launched in the home of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

Her late husband was a campaign bundler for Blago and was the head of a Greek legal group that helped both Blago and Obama.

Looks to me like the fix was in even before the trial started. No wonder Team Blago was so confident about the outcome.

Of course all this is just an over reaction by the VRWC. Move along,nothing to see here.On count 2-the most damaging one-there were 11 jurors voting to convict and one holdout. The holdout had been telling her friends for weeks that she intended to vote for acquittal...evidence be d*mmned. I live in Triple J’s district and this sort of crap doesn’t surprise me. Among liberals around here it’s like ‘Rod Blago Superstar’.
It’s another reason why I want to get out of this state.
