    whether the Second Amendment applies to only state militias such as the National Guard or whether it is an individual right

    Dur, hello? For the 100 billionth time: What part of “the right of the people” do they fail to understand?

    Furthermore, from the 14th Amendment, Section 1: “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

    ... which pretty much states that things like state gun control laws are illegal. SCOTUS’s 1873 decision in Slaughterhouse Cases was utterly wrong and should be tossed.

    I would be amazed if the current crop of the Supremes has the nads to actually hear this case. My bet is they will wimp out and not hear it, leaving the lower DC court decision in place and not setting a clear precedent.
