  1. Photos??
there is a slight difference between turps and white spirit, mostly you get turps substitute and that is usualt white spirit real turps comes from pie sap, gets the sap off real well as you would expect! try glucosamine for the knee, helps mine for sure.

  2. I’ve heard that glucosamine only works for about half the folks.

I’ve been busy working too. I haven’t even been in front of the computer at all today. And of course it’s like a swamp outside.

  3. Yeah glucosamine did not work here. Back pain - I can relate, knock wood haven’t had it since the female parts saga which I won’t go into. Tests, exams - Yeah I don’t do them now as the new healthcare motto seems to be everyone is dying of high cholesterol and diabetes. Well, you know I’m not an idiot and I have a computer and a library card. When the American Diabetes Association gives one criteria for diabetes - and the doctors are lining up a zillion appointments and blood tests based on something much less - Well my bs meter goes off.

Prevention is not beating a working horse to death. It is a bit of literature and explaining the basics. I canceled all the appointments - and won’t go back until next spring - armed with the book by the ADA - if my Doc won’t follow their guidelines - well I won’t listen to them at all.

Risks are what are the basis of medical care - and the healthcare system is running under a blanket one patient fits all treatments. That does not work at all - most especially when you combine a condition (high cholesterol) which has a 50/50 study outcome as to whether it is a cause or a correlation and diabetes - which also has accompanying conditions that are questionable as to cause or correlation. And completely ignore all other aspects of the person and their lifestyle/behavior.

But I guess in this day and age of ‘univeral’ (silly people thought it meant everyone got equal healthcare options) healthcare - treating everyone the same, is just cheaper and works for the 50% in the middle - and what the heck for the 25% at one end and 25% at the other end. Oh well - just leaves more money for the 50% in the middle! Yeah that’s the ticket.

I hope you get the meds soon and get some answers on the knee - Pain sucks no matter where it is, I just wish Docs today would realize the golden rule of medicine of yesteryear - Pain means something is WRONG.
