We need someone to do a comparison - you know say from LBJ’s girls )JFKs kids were too young) through HRC’s daughter (the Bush girls were 1) of age when he was in the WH and 2) covered 24/7/365 by a hostile media anyway) for a track as to how much more this family is ripping off the taxpayers. I do remember a lot of people being hostile about the money Jackie spent ‘redoing’ the WH. But a real comparison - on days away from the WH, trips, cost, places visited etc. We already know that GWB went to Crawford TX or Kennibunkport ME for vacay’s. We already know that Biden travels (on taxpayer dimes) back to Delaware alot and when Obama calls readily will travel to Camp David and back to DE and back to DC all in a single weekend.
But I really don’t remember travel such as this - with so much fanfare (and yes I know part of it is a sycophant State Media that is just so in love with this bunch) - and such odd places.
With two lawyers and two books under his belt - it’s not like those two were po’ or any such thing.
It was an interesting piece - but as one of the comments said - They are seeing the China reserved for royalty and the insanely rich - so they aren’t even learning about China.
Which those of us with functioning brain cells know was never the point of this trip. Just burning through taxpayers dimes (reparations you know - gotta get them some way) and heaven only knows what kind of ‘behind the scenes’ wheeling and dealing that is going on.
BTW - if I could go anywhere in the World (most especially as a teen on ‘spring break’) it damn well wouldn’t be China.
The Left, and the Press (sorry, I’m being redundant) will tell you endlessly how Bush took SO MANY VACATIONS!! He went to Camp David 149 times!!!!!
Yeah. In case you never looked it up, Camp David is only 60 miles NW of Washington DC, just a few minutes flight or drive away.
Not to mention that many of those get aways were working trips, and often to spend time with foreign leaders.
I’m pretty sure you could go back and forth from Camp David to the White House about 10,000 times for the price of one trans-global getaway for Queen Mooch and the Brat Princesses. And their stinky dog, “BO”.
