OUT OF AFRICA?

 

1. Has anyone asked poor little Mercy who she wants for a new parent.  Loving Dad is very concerned about the upbringing of his precious little daughter...well where the hell has he been since mom died?  He’s worried about Madonna appearing half naked on stage, well hell, ain’t everyone in this forsaken country wearing just a dirty loincloth?...and that is their Sunday best.  The only thing this guy could teach his daughter is how to swat flies and avoid stepping in poop.  Madonna can give her so much more.  Give the poor girl a chance.  Maybe Madonna’s intent is not 100% altruistic, but she can certainly care for the girl and will give her everything she wants and more.  It’s kinda like this little girl has won the lottery and she is not allowed to cash in her ticket because gambling is evil.  This supposed father, along with the rest of the idiots involved in the child “selling” process are just making a fuss until the payoff from Madonna gets to a sufficient amount for their greedy little selves.  Of course I could be wrong and they really are wonderful caring people who just want to do what is right.

   Good points.  I did wonder why the girl was up for adoption to begin with.

   I had read that his wife’s family and his are on the outs or at least they don’t like him. But I haven’t read exactly why.  Facts seem to be thin to none on that score.
   I may be wrong on this BUT ... I understood that he stepped in when the family decided to send her for adoption, and he didn’t want that. Which begs the question as you say. Where was he before?

   I almost always have a problem (oh, like it my business, right?)with these pop icons doing “good” and almost always OUTSIDE the country(s) where they made their millions.  Like there are no needy kids right at home. But I suppose they get more press by going thousands of miles out of their way to prove their liberal standing.
   But then, I’m a cynic where these folks are concerned.
