    And btw, Lincoln agreed with at least that part.  He also said he didn’t see a day when the black could ever be equal and would always be subordinate to whites. He just didn’t believe in slavery. However, he believed in the union more. So much so in fact that he was willing to overlook it to save the union.  Perfectly normal for the 1800s.

    Hey, speaking of bits of history.  Saw an interesting story but couldn’t link. Short.
    The Brit code breakers who unraveled the Nazi war code didn’t get it all. 
    Some unbroken codes recently discovered and using modern puters and much time spent, the few remaining were finally broken.

  2. Peiper - Stefan Krah and his networked PCs? They got one of the last three, but that was four years ago. Hadn’t heard anything since then.

  3. Four yrs ago?  Wow.  I just happen to see the blurb but it wasn’t dated and was one of those parts of the paper where questions get answered by researchers. But it never said how long ago.
