I must add,.... and hurry before the stinking press corps arrives!
I’m not suprised that Ethiopia is rolling as they are, of course during the Italian campaign in 1939, the Italians were suprised that they were getting there pasta squashed by warriors on horseback.
btw, it was the Ethiopians, then, too.
Hey Skipper,
Over at Hotair, they’re talking that the islamists have surrendered in Mogadishu. Have you heard anything more in the update department on Op Crushed Nuts?
That was fast.
Reports are saying the islamists have fled south to Jilib, and to the port city of Kismayo and the tiny island of Ras Kamboni on the border with Kenya, and have vowed to fight to the death! Yeah right. Too bad Ethiopia doesn’t have a navy!
I hope Kenya is swift enough to rush troops to the border area to cut off any escape routes. And I hope that the Ethiopian forces round up and shoot all the warlords and their henchmen too.
Just get it all done before the UN sends in Jan Englund again to complain about the lack of American aid.
Thanks for the update, Drew
Just trying to stay on top of things Mikey. Here’s the whole war on one short page ... and we helped, a little. Yay US!
This should be a lesson for all.
No quarter. No mercy.
Works like a charm.
I predict a shortage of virgins....
We can’t stop.
No rest. No mercy.
Something about ‘brave Sir Robin’ comes to mind when I hear of stuff like this. The muslim (males not men) are good when dealing with unarmed men, women and children. Put the muslims up against a trained army who has the goal of crushing the enemy and they disappear like a fart in a tornado.
Remember Saddam’s “Elite Republican Guard” who were supposed to be such bad asses. When we were headed towards Baghdad they all ran away like little girls.
Bit of confusing and troubling news out of Somolia today. On the one hand, the invading forces and their allies are pledging to wipe out the ICU to the last fighter. On the other hand, Transnational government leaders are speaking amnesty. No surprise, the people are also doing the flip-flop. I think that’s called survival.
I’m praying that this time, just for once, things don’t go all mushy just when victory is near. Dig up the tree of evil and burn off every last root.
The overwhelming feedback SomaliNet received so far tells a unique story. The majority of the feedbacks we received were pro-courts in the first days of the war. As soon as the government started winning, the mood changed into nationalism, sense of bride and the possibility of a long awaited national government. The public loves winners no matter which side.
Are these Somalis - or French?
