  1. Both parties need to be honest.  At least the Republicans tend to discipline their own while the Donks always defend their criminals to the bitter end.

  2. There is no honesty in Washington and won’t be until the whole lot are replaced all at once.  Of course, that will never happen.

  3. I have always tried to be objective and informed when voting on issues and candidates.  I remember the first time I was able to vote in 1998.  After looking over candidates and making my choices, I found that none of the ones I picked were incumbents.  Almost every time since then, I have not often selected the incumbent.  Of course, the voters pamphlet is a joke.  If everyone was as wonderful as it depicted, all would be on the same level as Jesus Christ and just as honest and fair as Him.  Right.  At least with incumbents we have actual performance on the job, so to speak, to gauge them by.

Now, having left Oregon for Idaho, I have a whole new state’s worth of congressional losers and issues to learn about.

  4. Honest leadership from Honest John Dean, whose gubernatorial papers are still sealed?  Just asking....

  5. democrats.org/honesty..... isn’t that analogous to al_queda.org/sanity_love_and_compassion… question

  6. >They cited former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s Texas indictment for fund-raising irregularities<
I cite Hillary being fined for ‘fund-raising’ irregularites during a ‘farewell’ [i.e. fund-raising] party for Bill
    >the investigation of House Majority Leader Bill Frist for insider stock trading<
I cite Hillary for her ‘insider’ deal that turned $1000. into $100,000. in what?!? 10 months [don’t we all wish we could do that]
    >Jack Abramoff’s efforts to sway lawmakers including DeLay and Ney as examples of GOP problems.<
Sorry, there were Dems named on the first list released after Abramoff’s guilty plea - if a single name on that list weren’t involved, Dean on down in the Dems (assisted by the msm) would have driven the lying media outlet/paper out of business so fast it would have made heads spin. Since the Dean and the Dems are back to screaming ‘climate of corruption’ - I would say they have realized that the NSA/impeachment bunk has fizzled (as has everything else), they will beat this one until someone discovers how dirty/bad some Dem was and then it too will be dropped like a bad habit.
Finally any party that embraces Ted (Chappaquidick) Kennedy, should never stand in front of a placard saying “Honest Leadership.” Doesn’t that constitute lying and false advertising??????

  8. Here’s another story on Bill & Hill having to return government property they thought were ‘gifts’ to them

  9. Leaving aside the invincibly gullible and hopelessly stupid, this is why people are cynical about politics.  Can you imagine anyone else believing this crap? Let’s take Republicans as an example of cynical politics—the Democrats are too easy.

THE FLAG BURNING AMENDMENT—no chance of passing, unenforcable if it did
THE FAG -BURNING AMENDMENT—(gay marriage)no chance of passing, not needed
MEDICARE DRUG BENEFITS—the Enron of future government financial catastrophe
THE REPUBLICAN PORK pig  BINGE—the deficit spending has put the Democrats to shame

I say cynicism is a civic duty.

  11. Tann: Are you suggesting that the Democrats are a house divided against itself?

    That’s very encouraging!

  12. Men like Zel Miller and Joe Lieberman could probably answer your question better than I can, Oink.
