  1. Yeah, as long as it’s not the Gozilla Croc - http://www.theage.com.au/news/world/godzilla-a-croc-with-a-short-stout-snout/2005/11/11/1131578236166.html?oneclick=true

  2. Gun season for deer opens tomorrow here in Indiana. I pray we don’t have the usual mythical deer shootings—the ones where a human being gets bagged.

I make it a point not to go walking thru the woods wearing a brown jacket with a white hanky hanging out of my hip pocket.

  3. Hmm, this makes me wonder if this critter isn’t related to “Nessie”. You know, the famous Loch Ness monster. Sounds about right. Indeed it may be the same critter. Perhaps there’s a tunnel between the two lakes. That would explain why neither has been found. It’s that or the folks in both countries are affected the same way by the local hooch.

Deer hunting. The thought makes my mouth water. I’ve never done it but I have enjoyed the results of a successful hunt. I love venison. Makes great chili too.

I once dated a girl who’s dad seemed unaware of his state’s limits on when one could hunt the critters and who’s mom knew every way to cook it. They had five kids and needed to put meat on the table ya know. They also managed to have venison every time we’d go to visit. I think she told them how much I like it. [sigh] I should have married that girl ... if only for the venison.

  4. All the previous postings are great! I’m proud to say, none of my neighbors are yuppie wannabees, and all the venison goes from freezer to table. The DNR says that we need more hunters shooting does. There’s a consensus with my guys that antlers don’t taste good.

  5. As a good libertarian I believe in laying off hunters-though I find hunting to be abohrent.
That said I won’t even allow the spoils of a hunt-Mike doesn’t but he’s been offered deer meat before-in my home. I feel the same way about lamb, veal, live lobster, and of course anyone in the shark family. We don’t eat babies, boil things alive, or eat friends. wink

Btw-the reason the Swedes haven’t seen their serpent is because he met up with Nessie and now those two are partying with Champ(Lake Champlain) and Chessie(The Chesapeake Bay monster-not the railroad kitten)out in the bay. party  mickeymouse

  6. Well, Barb, some of my friends seem to enjoy it when I .... Oh, you probably didnt mean that. Nevermind.

  7. "Japanese scientists have placed explosive detonators at the bottom of Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water.  Sir Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance has summoned the aid of Scottish wizards to cast a protective spell on the lake to help our underwater ally”.

    Napoleon Dynamite off.

  8. That’s just goofy enough to be true these days, U2.

  9. I just shot a deer Wednesday; a big, fat Montana farm-fed whitetail doe, the first in many years. Good luck to all you who mean to do the same; loch-ness monster or not.  chasehatchet
