I felt in my gut this last election would see the left sit fire to any number of big cities, if they lost a closely contested race. It didn’t happen. However, turning your prediction the other way around, if Hillary looses in a close race, as much as she is the liberal darling....I think it would be much more of a possibility. If she wins....nothing will happen at the onset. However, if the country is seen as making a radical turn toward a more socialist state (which would be surprising given the dems love of incrementalism), then you will see the beginnings of something this country hasn’t seen since the 1860’s.....Civil War. (A good indication if this will come to pass...is how the immigration problem is addressed in the next year or two.)
If this were to happen, I think the following would probably occur;
The GOP would be in revolt and a power struggle would take place, causing even more cracks in the party.
I believe you would see the Senior Military leaders leave as they would having responsibility for drawing down the forces and won’t want to do that;
I would probably move all my 401K money from the stock market and buy bonds, since I believe the market would go down because corporations will have to pay more in taxes (so will the average citizen) and less into retooling
I will spending the four years looking for a candidate to support for the next election.
I won’t run away, I will stay and fight!Personally, I think the Dems are too smart to run another Northeastern Liberal just to keep looosing. Hannity is already running spots on his radio show hoping Hillary is the one because it would make great radio.
I think it will be a Democratic Gov that will win the nomination. Now all the Dem Govs suck so they don’t have much choice from. I think it will be Liberal Vilsack from Iowa. We got lucky with the Dems choosing Gore and Kerry.
If it is Hillary every Republican in America will vote. We will have 100% voter turnout. Her negatives are very high.

My remarks are quite banal compared to those above, but I bet the democratics won’t take a chance on letting her run. The GOP would go into action like we’ve never seen to dig up dirt to bury her, and I think Bill will talk her out of it - health and all. Half the country despises this woman so much, that I don’t think she’ll stand much of a chance - no matter how ‘centrist’ she’s pretending to become. If she runs, the loathing will turn to such vitriol that I think every Republican will turn out to blast her. Yep, Z Woof… The best… Condoleeza Rice. Yep.
