Ready for my story? I’m mostly retired and 2-1/2 years ago, I’d gotten a health policy that would take care of my needs, for about $250/month. In December/January, they raised to over $500 AND reduced the benefits significantly. Technically my policy wasn’t cancelled, they just made sure that only a complete fool would renew it.
My $56 check for Obamacare has now cleared the bank. Nice for me, not so nice for everyone else.
Look at it this way. Why would Blue Cross rather get $56/month from me, plus whatever the Feds pay them, for roughly the same coverage as I had before? Why did Anthem (related, but separate company from Blue Shield) go out of their way to make sure I cancelled my policy? Simple answer, they’re making a bigger profit with Uncle Sugar’s contribution.
How many extra billions of dollars of profit will the insurance companies make in the coming years thanks to Barak the Great and Nancy Pelosi ramming this abomination down the throats of the American people?
Ya think even the low information voters are getting a clue?
