“At no time is the public in danger as a result of having fewer staff here”. I love that quote, what she didn’t say is that at no time is the staff in danger. Wonder why!
all employees at federal prisons like Supermax—from nurses to secretaries—are trained to respond to emergencies within the prison and know how to use a shotgun, an M-16 rifle, and a 9mm handgun What is not said here, is that none of the staff in the federal facilities are armed, not even a billy club.
It’s supposed to be SUPERMAX, not STUPIDMAX
One can always hope that Moose-Owee somehow happens to slip on a bar of soap and fall up three flights of stairs…
”prisoners being denied privileges” ?!?!? well, boo-friggin’-hoo for them, TFB.
Johnson said prisoners are sometimes being denied privileges like recreation breaks and telephone calls because there aren’t enough guards and that causes more tension.
Not to be harsh or anything, but my life is a little ‘tense’ here on the outside. Is there seriously an amendment somewhere that protects us from tension? How about the tension the family members/victims were under due to these assclowns?
I am, however, in favor of giving these guards as much of a break as possible and that increased irritation puts them in harm’s way. But I think, rather, that the guards should be given more ‘smackdown’ tools rather than the inmates more recreation breaks.
It is also really sad that these guys need to be concerned for their safety now that their aren’t enough guards to protect them from each other. Really tragic. Ironic, no?
