1. Oh, but the Prius DOES have speed.  A few years ago Al Gore’s son was nailed in southern California for something like 107 mph in a Prius.  Of course, with Al Gore involved it might have only been a Prius body with a 1966 Mopar 426 cu in Hemi under the hood.

3. Come on people - Uncle Obama is just attempting to level the playing field for Government Motors - It is 4 Prius (or is that Pri-i?!?). I would like to see an independent (Yeah, right, as if that exists in America at all now) study as to # of Toyota with this accelerator fail, how many accidents, how many deaths, and how many complaints. I read that is was 4 reports on the Prius brake (no wonder, Toyota did nothing about it nor reported it).

   This is the new modus operendi - The Nanny State starts squalling with the first report of failure, mayhem, and heaven forbid death - The Sheeple start running and screaming into the night - and wala - The Nanny State wins and The Sheeple stop thinking (critically thinking at that) and Big Obama Government wins.

   Give me the numbers and scientifically - 4 is ZERO. Big Woo. YAWN.

   BTW Ward,It seems that only Ford of the former Big 3 is gaining any market share because of this junk and the Korean folk too.
   Oops,spoke too soon. Now we get reports of problems with Ford brakes by the MSM.Gee, That leaves just GM and Fiat,Er,Chrysler as the lone Saints of all things automotive.Imagine that.
