  1. No clue about the arrows. Maybe they were from his personal stock; I doubt if arrows were on the Army’s equipment list in 1942. OTOH, maybe the author was being racist.

    His bow from 1939 looks quite light; perhaps a 20lb draw. Short range target bow, not a war bow at all.

    Brave fellow, but sounds like an absolute loon.
