Can’t a church group help put in a ramp at the m-i-l’s house? Hubby built ours back in the day (move-in, son was back in wheelchair w/prosthetic problems. Now we have an even bigger one - two legs - and the place that takes our insurance - won’t fix ‘em, ‘cuz they didn’t build ‘em - We are NOT going back to TX to get ‘em fixed) [btw - I hate insurance and health’care’ providers right now - hubby playing phone tag with two docs to simply get a referral for an apt for PT, and low and behold his sister stepped up and did more than any of these paid stooges - bought him a piece of home equipment - damn fine of her]
But look around to see if some group locally won’t do something for your m-i-l’s step - it is a hazard to carry her in the chair up steps like that (not to mention a serious pain in the back, shoulders and arms).
Dont let that little man in your head f_ck with you Drew. You have no idea how easy it gets after saying FU to your “otherself” a thousand times. Pretty soon you dont even need to say it,it just goes on without thinking.
If you wanna see a nice bridge, Drew, try the Edmon Street Salina bridge, a metal pinned Parker through truss that I drive through at least 3 times a week.
