  1. What’s not so funny about the Wall story is: western Germans see their eastern bretheren as lazy, and as a result they resent the hard work (i.e. TAXES) they’ve had to cough up to bring the eastern portion of Germany “up to snuff.” And of course it still isn’t.

The eastern Germans, believe it or not, still pine for the old Communist ways, the Giant Government Tit Solution if you will!

Should we laugh or weep? Perhaps a sigh is in order....

  2. Anybody remember 77 Sunset Strip, the TV show. That made me want a Vette so bad when I was a kid. Now I am too damn tall and fat to fit into one. There is no justice I tell you.

  3. I remember 77 Sunset Strip. Although I remember the T-Birds more than the vettes. Of course by then the T-Birds were 4 seaters, not the 2 seat sport car that they had been. I think one of the main charachters drove a T-Bird. (Stuart? - Efram Zimbalist Jr.) Did Kookie park a lot of Vettes?

I’m thinking “My 3 Sons” was sponsored by Corvette… Not just Chevy, Corvette division.

  4. Damn, and I was only two when that occurred.  I wish I was old enough to remember that.  flag
