On St George’s Day, EU wipes England off map

England has been wiped off a map of Europe drawn up by Brussels bureaucrats as part of a scheme that the Tories claim threatens to undermine the country’s national identity.

The new European plan splits England into three zones that are joined with areas in other countries.

The “Manche” region covers part of southern England and northern France while the Atlantic region includes western parts of England, Portugal, Spain and Wales.

The North Sea region includes eastern England, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and parts of Germany.

A copy of the map, which makes no reference to England or Britain, has even renamed the English Channel the “Channel Sea”.

Each zone will have a “transnational regional assembly”, although they will not have extensive powers. However, the zones are regarded as symbolically important by other countries.

German ministers claimed that the plan was about “underlying the goal of a united Europe” to “permanently overcome old borders” at a time when the “Constitution for Europe needs to regain momentum”.

The Tories are drawing attention to the plan today, St George’s Day. Eric Pickles, the shadow secretary of state for communities and local government, said: “We already knew that Gordon Brown had hoisted the white flag of surrender to the European constitution.

“Now the Labour government has been caught red-handed, conspiring with European bureaucrats to create a European super-state via the back door.”

The disclosure of the European map comes as a YouGov poll commissioned by The Daily Telegraph showed that one third of people want England to have its own parliament.

Twenty per cent want England to be an independent country and for Britain to be broken up.

Instead of using my own words here, I’m leaving a comment posted in the Telegraph by a reader.  Says it better then I can.

Well how surprising is this? I am a loss for words sometimes to understand why the British people are not in open revolt against this government and its unelected dictator Herr Broon.
I do not personally believe that there will be any elections in 2010 that will resemble the elections of the past where you are voting for a British Parliament.
The Lisbon Treaty sold the UK down the river to the United States of Europe ruled directly by Brussels and administered locally by the regional administration of the UK.
Even Ireland the last bastion of hope of blocking this is at this moment being blackmailed and bullied into submission and a yes vote.
The EU has invaded and occupied and taken over the UK in total without a shot being fired in anger, as of 2009 the UK really no longer exists and Parliament will have no powers to dictate UK policy within its own borders.
Its about time people of the UK that you woke up from your slumbers and started to fight back with civil disobedience before the EU stormtroopers arrive en masse to prevent protest.

  2. Communist/Socialist manifesto for taking over:

    1) disarm the people. First and foremost.
    2) flood the country with annoying laws that make everyone a criminal to some extent.
2a) add tons of laws that bring the government into every aspect of daily life to get the people used to not having to make decisions or take responsibility for anything.
2b) more laws that raise taxation to unbearable levels, to redistribute money from the intelligent and driven to the stupid and lazy. For their own good, of course.
    3) add intense levels of anti-criticism (political correctness) so that people are afraid to speak out.
    4) eliminate or sideline religion.
    5) eliminate or “cleanse” the teaching of history to unlink the culture from it’s roots.
    5a) marginalize historic cultural icons.
    6) redraw the borders to further destroy any sense of nationality.

CM and his reset button ... the time may have come.
