  1. This man was responsible for no less than a complete revolution of how music is created.  Electronic music has come a looooong way since he made his first synthesizer in the 60’s.

  3. I had that album too, Skipper. I dunno where it is these days. It was Walter Carlos in those days. Here’s an interesting piece on the subject. Apparently Walter/Wendy helped with the Moog synthesizer design and promotion.

    I once worked for the machine tool division of Moog Inc., the servovalve manufacturer. I dunno if Arthur and Bill Moog (Moog Inc. founders) were related to Robert Moog and what we referred to as “the organ people”.

    BTW the name Moog is pronounced to rhyme with vogue or rogue. Just so you know.
