  1. Very unlike Flashman, but somewhat like the real George MacDonald Fraser, who served in Burma during the same war. If you get a chance, read his autobiography.

  2. Hey I’m sitting here with oil of oregano (for my cough) on my chest (I smell like an Italian dinner) and popping Zicam cold every hour or so - we went out into the cold and damp on Sat to shoot (first and only time in 2011 - that’s how po’ we are) - been too long my gun was not co-operating and I shot high and to the right. Anyway - I don’t take the flu shot - never have after the first one that made me sicker than a dog - but now that we aren’t out and about - it doesn’t really matter much.

There were some great people in WWII - but then they grasped that it was really about US v Them. Sad that our msm won’t even begin to talk about the great people doing the job that needs to be done today. Too many today want to paint US as evil and them as victim, misunderstood, po’ etc - when they are simply evil.

I guess WWIII is just around the corner - as the World’s economy can’t sustain this foolish course of supporting people for doing nothing while looking the other way at the evil within (see for example the Grapevine TX Christmas Day shooting by ‘Santa’ Claus - first google is al jazeera - wonder why? It’s because the shooter and victims are muslim and of course our msm is dropping it into the ‘nothing to see here, move along’ file) - We have to change the course of this crappola going on - or it will not be good for a number of years.

  3. When I was much younger I was given a copy of the book “Escape from Colditz.” It was non-fiction about the men imprisoned in Colditz and their escape attempts. It read like a novel - compelling and entertaining. It’s still around on-line in various formats. If you get a chance give it a read.
