I really wonder what “new direction” Waterfield has in mind. Not really clear in his article.
Also, I wonder about that “badly needed legitimacy” crack.

Peiper I don’t know if you were in Britain in 1997 but the reaction to Osamabamas election was identical to that of Tony Bliar. A tired and discredited Conservative government was dumped in favour of a cheesy snake oil salesmen with his promise “Things can only get better”. The only difference was Bliar inherited a strong economy. Eleven years later and Britain has been flushed down the toilet by the socialists. I hope the US doesn’t suffer the same fate.
There are two things I got from the article.
1.) This guy doesn’t believe that the European Governments have neither balls nor legitimacy.
2.) He’s clueless about Obama. His ideas about a brilliant, independent Obama fighting for truth, justice and the American way, are delusional at best.
2a) I know a whore when I see one. How much KY does Obama use?
2b) If Obama isn’t a whore, then he’s an egotistical wimp who at best will sell us out.
General note to BMEWS members: Please quit calling Obama either a Marxist or a Socialist. As low as they are, that does a disservice to them. Theoretically they at least have good intentions. There has got to be a good word to accurately describe Obama’s pie-in-the-sky promises and policies that will likely wreck this country. As long as he gets to manipulate people and be worshiped, I don’t see that he cares about much else. That puts him below Marxists and Socialists.
Today I talked with an Obama supporter who just couldn’t understand why Wall Street took a dive in the shitter when Obama won the election. She thought all the economic problems were because Bush and Cheney were ruining the country. She thought Obama was going to bring peace and prosperity. Brainless twit. Wait until she sees what kind of peace we get when he starts kissing the asses of the Palestinians and the Iranians. I don’t even want to think about what the Chinese will do with him and the Russians have already called him out. Bush can duck the issue of the missiles in Europe long enough to get out of office and then Obama gets to square off with a very tough, very canny KGB agent named Vladimir Putin. I’ll put my money on Putin.
In a few months, we’ll know more about the reality of our situation with Obama in the White House, but I’m not looking forward to it.
