   “Self-serving”???  When you’ve spent your existence trying maintain that existence ‘self-serving’ hardly describes it.  It is the fact that they are so self-serving that they’ve managed to survive and blow anyone out of the water who might hurt them.  It is their desire to continue exiting that will take care of nuclear proliferation in the Levant.  Yep… good friends to have… they will save us a lot of trouble.
