  1. I’ve always thought that Newt had become “damaged goods” for the GOP since his ouster back in ‘98 (I think that was the year).  Which is a shame, since he had charisma and quality leadership skills...he could’ve gone so much further and done so much more than he did.

Either my eyes and ears have slipped a gear or Ol’ Newt is gaming the system by sucking up to all sides at once ... in the style of Slick Willie Clinton.

Aw, c’mon Skipper.  Gotta’ keep a positive spin on these kinda’ things!  Any deviations from the party line is simply “engaging in bipartisanism.” tongue laugh

  2. >History, he believes, is a series of disconnected crises and challenges, each requiring a new solution<

That is a very scary and way too liberal/progressive a statement - it is ‘those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.’

It is a shame but between Gingrich and McCain - I might have to actually research the least offensive of the lesser parties. Hopefully, the RNC is really not going to go with Dems wearing the Repub tag and find a solid, rational repub to run.

With Ahmadinejad wanting to make the whole World Islam - this is not the time to sell out America with a liberal, pansy, weak Repub and certainly not a lying Dem in the WH in ‘08.

  3. Shin, I can handle “bipartisanism”. What I can’t handle is anyone who gets too close to the Hildabeast. That woman gives me the creepy-crawlys.

    She is a witch .

  4. I have a sinking feeling that there will be nobody in the ‘08 presidential election worthy of being president.  It is obvious that a donk is out of the question.  However, I can’t think of a single republican that would be worth it either.  How pathetic is that!  Once again, it will be the lesser of two (or more) evils and no candidate will be what the people really want.

  5. My God, a choice between a Cartercountry hasbeen and a sniveling sellout.
We’re doomed I tell ya, doomed!!!

A pox on all their houses, and keep my shootin arn handy thanks.

  6. Yeah, I was kidding about that last part Skipper.  Newt tends to talk outta’ both sides of his mouth these days.  But what are ya’ gonna’ do...he IS a politician after all!  rolleyes
