2. These people knew what was going to happen, if not to them, to their fellow citizens. They acted in the fully appropriate manner.

   They were empowered, not by fear, but by resolution. This only serves to increases my feeling that the Iraqis are going to do fine in the future. They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it any more. Good on ‘em.

7. okay, okay....maybe he was smuggling fireworks to New York. Can’t even have sparklers there, you know.

   Seriously though, considering that this guy might have been able to detonate when the crowd went after him I’d say that they have some testicular fortitude and a strong sense of what’s right. I can’t express enough admiration for them. Lot’s of people would have just run like hell the other way.
