4. Well, we are well supplied with tissues and paper towels. I think we even have half a package of those “personal cleansing wipes” around here somewhere. But I thought it was funny that I had one of those “oh crap” moments while, um ...

   Or I could just grin and bear it (it being much too cold to grin and bare it!) and venture out into the storm. The A&P is only about a mile and a half away, and it’s nearly flat between here and there. With a gas station and a liquor store in between. And several take-out joints. I’d go to the Shop Rite, which is much closer, but it’s up a very steep hill.

   I want to check on the highway anyway. Route 78 is just outside the neighborhood here, and we’re only 15 miles from Pennsylvania. In PA the governor shut the highways down due to snow and winds. So maybe the NJ end is empty too, or else it’s a huge traffic jam.

   All our wires are underground, so the odds of us losing power/internet/telephone/cable TV are slim.

   And it continues to snow, hard. Weather dude says we’re having 2"+ per hour. Yowza.

5. There is a reason Sam’s Club & Cosco are so popular - you never run out (well almost never, I just finished my jumbo pack of paper towels). Don’t know how to say this - but I tend to be allergic to the extra crap (i.e. fragrances they put in stuff) so I buy one brand exclusively (to save umm, public embarrassment and personal discomfort) - which is why I only buy jumbo now - can’t ever have enough around.

   This global warming is getting to be a real pain to scrape off the cars and snow blow - now tonight we are suppose to be in single digits - Where is global warming when you need it?!?!?
