  1. Oh Crap!!! I was just about to go to bed and I thought I would check my email. I logged on here just to see what was happening at BMEWS. Now I have nightmares just over the horizon. DAMNITDAMNITDAMNIT!!!!!

Life is getting more suckish by the minute.

I hope that this is just an internet rumor.

  2. Stan: No rumor. Truth. Sorry.

Let’s all just get drunk and wait for the bright flash.

    sick

  3. Bush had better grow some big ones for this.

It is time to nuke them, and nuke them hard, take out their entire nuclear program with tactical nukes, and then look at Iran, and say, are you going to negotiate or not? Because we are tired of your crap.

We either take them out, or they are going to attempt to take us out.

Sorry, that’s just the way I feel, nuke every nuclear or suspected nuclear facility in North Korea, and at the same time, assassinate little Ill.

  4. This could get messy. Something needs to be done, but, I don’t think we have the backbone left to do it.

Most of the people I know (even the conservative ones) don’t recognize the danger we are facing from Islamofacists and now from the NK nutjob, not to mention the dingbats in Iran.
I’m pretty sure the President couldn’t get the support he would need to b---- slap that bunch.

We really do “live in interesting times”.

  5. I don’t doubt that the NorKs did this, but I have not yet seen any news reporting on any radiation or EMP being detected. That seismic data suggests a surface or near surface test, so there ought to be some. Don’t forget that many thought they set one off a couple years ago, but that turned out to be a massive regular explosion. Munitions train accident or something I think.

If the decision is not going to be to fry this whole damn country, then they should be cut off from the world completely. No food, no oil, no sales of any kind. Any of their ships at sea get interned or sent home. Any airplane leaving their airspace gets shot down. Same with any missle of any kind. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out. And for once, just once, China will have to go along with this and not be a backdoor supply chain.

All I can say is a hearty thank you to Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright. Way to go assholes.

  6. Amazing that his country is starving to death while ding dong il jil plays with atomic fire.  I agree that a total severing of international trade, air travel and telecommunications be enacted against this goon.  Sink all ships entering into NOK waters.  Shoot down all aircraft.

  7. Good idea about the telcom embargo too. Allow them one handheld diplomatic pouch per week to cross the border. No “humanitarian aid” either, since they’ve shown how inhumane they wish to be. All thier assets should be frozen by the banks, and all wire transfers into the country come to an immediate halt. Utter rejection by the entire world is the only course left open to us other than nuclear conflagration. And no matter what they say or do, this shunning has to last at least 5 years.

We should start an embargo against Iran too. Maybe allow them some foodstuffs, but cut off all other imports.

  8. News ticker - “A senior official from the office of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton confirms that the U.S. State Department will begin work Monday on a draft Security Council resolution to impose new sanctions on North Korea.”

WTF people. Isn’t this why we have a Navy? Can we say “fait accompli” boys and girls? Do I have to run down to DC with a brush and paint the Nike slogan on the friggin White House? Sanctions my ass. Cut them off and leave them to starve.

  10. Indigenous wisdom?  Indigenous technology?

Of course, of course--BUT, with Slick Willie’s autograph engraved on the hot stuff!

    (No pun intended)

    LOL

Seriously, it would be no loss to the cosmos if NK’s nuke program (or NK itself) was taken out, by nukes or by anything else.  But the trouble remains what it was in 1950.  NK is Red China’s doormat.  And no matter how filthy the doormat is, Beijing will NEVER sit tamely by and suffer anyone to do anything about it.  You may let your house go to wreck, but by God, it’s still your house, and you don’t want outsiders meddling around about it.

As for the test itself?  Beijing may be publicly “condemning” it for the sake of the UN, the MSM, the pantisocracy types in Western governments, and the peasants who put faith in such mirages.  But rest assured, the Inner Party champagne flowed freely tonight.

    cool mad

  11. Over at defensetech.org they have some rather interesting information.  Seems that the nuke yield might have been less than a 1Kt blast.  In other words even with the crudest nuke technology (a gun with two sub-critical spheres shot at each other)a plutonium blast should have a yield of around 20Kt.  The damned thing was a dud.  If this is the case then there will be some new inmates in a NORK labor/death camp tonight.

  12. I don’t think China is an honest broker here and believe they will not get serious until 1) Japan and S.Korea make efforts to employ OFFENSIVE nuclear weapons, not the shoot ‘em down defensive variety and 2) Arm Taiwan with nukes....I promise you that will get them to butt kick lil Kim. This is a chess game played out on the world theatre and I don’t think much good will come out of it. A militarized Japan would in all probability be enough to stall China. I think China is betting on a lack of resolve and unity, and believe that even Japan will not collectively endorse an offensive strategy. peace

  13. One kiloton yield, was it?  A dud, indeed!  MM and TK get bigger yields than that when they fart.  And you’re probably right, Kirk.  There will be new inmates in the NK gulag tonight--although they shan’t be there long.

But now I know Slick’s autograph was engraved all over the hot stuff.  It was a f**kup, just like he himself is.

    LOL

  14. Hmmm, Japan has the metalurgists, chemists, mechanical engineers, nuclear physics specialists, etc. and the raw material to be able to begin cranking out hydrogen bombs within a year or so.  Thank you North Korea for getting Japan to rearm.

  15. Time to build a huge glass dome over NK and suck all the air out…

That crazy little half-pint pedophile, dog-eating, pot-bellied pig likes to live in a vacuum, let him try to breathe in a vacuum… Failing that, just drop about 30 megatons worth of MIRVS upon his pointed little head. Good bye and good riddance, Pyoon-Tang…

Methinks his “nuke” was simply a cave full of a half-kiloton or two of of “pearls ‘n’ oil” AKA ANFO explosive. Makes a for a big bang but not much else…
