Maybe BonerBoy could take over for Leno as he sure is a funny clown when he makes bold statements.
I use to agree with Boehner and McConnell - but something ($$$$) seems to get to even the best of them in DC. They are not in DNC camp yet - but they have certainly gone further to the Left. I met Mitch in KY when he was campaigning for office, a one on one - liked what I heard - but the county I was in had a sterling $16,000/year average annual income - and told him upfront - I like what you are saying but I can’t vote for you - I’m not a resident of KY. Boehner went to DC a real fiscal conservative.
I just don’t understand what it is about politics that skews one’s values and principles so much. No one seems immune.
Sad days for America.
wardmama, I don’t think it’s politics as much as it is power and money. They get into office and start liking the perks and ‘outside income’ that come with it. Power and money is addictive, and they want more and more. And they don’t care who they have to trample to get it.
