  1. Makes you want to go and join the border patrol.  NOT!

  2. I just guess this another lunatic left tactic to undermine and therefore lead to the destruction of the American Constitution, judical system, legal system, US Armed Forces, law enforcement, law, moral values, border/border patrol, religious values, right, good, citizens, free market economics, free speech - you know every single value, belief and ideal that has made America great for 230 years.

Get a gun (or several), get cold hard cash, and stock up on pure, clean water and food stocks, have an alternative heat and/or cooking source and prepare for the worse, because the lunatic left is leading us headlong into the destruction of America . . . and it ain’t going to be very pretty nor a single day of ‘attack’ and ‘violence’.

I guess their forays into education/academia and the Judical system has paved the way of rendering the majority of Americans into stupid, compliant entitlement morons who go along with those who keep the gravy train growing, while pointing accusatory fingers at those who are trying to protect America from destruction both within and from foreign invasion.

So much for borders and sovereignty - America is going to be just one part of the ‘New SouthernMexiAmeriCanada’ continent which will take the new Worlduro and practice the ‘New MilleniumAgeOldWorshipofPeace,JusticeandHumanitylove’ psuedoreligionnonreligion under the auspicious of the ‘NewOneGlobalWorldandHumanityLeader’ who all in the World will bow down to and obey and then - - Jesus will come and as is the reality of any damn fine work of literature and life itself - good and justice and God will destroy the evil, fake and inhumane and Peace will finally reign until it all begins again. . . and so it goes.

  3. "U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton initially granted immunity to Aldrete-Davila for illegally entering the U.S., drug smuggling and unlawful flight to avoid arrest. Later, Sutton expanded the immunity to cover a second drug offense by Aldrete-Davila – an attempt to smuggle another 1,000 pounds of marijuana into the U.S. “

Johnny Sutton ought to be shot. I mean fired. I don’t care if he was Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez’s director of criminal-justice policy when Bush was running Texas. You can play Law & Order in the press all you want, but in the field you stand up for your men 110% of the time. You DON’T give several free rides to a thug to try to convict your own guy. Even if there is strong suspicion that they were aware of the smuggling event and were trying to rob and then rub the guy out in a double cross. (and there is NO suspicion of that in this case at all!) Smugglers, spies, and wetback beaners are presumed guilty and their stories are automatically highly suspicious, simply because they are breaking the law by being where they are, regardless of whatever else they were doing at the time.

Not only should these two officers be fully pardoned, they should be given medals and promotions. And lots more ammo should be handed out to the Border Patrol. They need the same kind of change in the Rules Of Engagement that our troops in Iraq are finally getting.

  4. "Rules of Engagement (snort of disgust)!”

Moderation in war, any kind of war, remains and always will remain imbecility.

A decision like this simply slaps the cuffs on other guys who are out there trying to get the job done.  If I were a border patrolman, it would be difficult for me to avoid seeing this outrage as a stab in the back, a stab that might happen to me for as much (or as little) reason.

    Crier havot?

    cool mad

  5. These border patrol agents were defending our borders, not only against illegal aliens but against drug runners, such as the person who they shot.  The Bush Justice Department pursued this case and offered the criminal immunity for his testimony.  These agents are being railroaded by the administration most of us here worked hard to elect in 2004.  What’s happening to these agents totally pisses me off.

  6. Returning to Mexico, Aldrete-Davila related his misfortunes to his mother, who contacted the mother-in-law of Border Patrol agent Rene Sanchez. Sanchez in turn tipped off a member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, who went to Mexico to offer immunity if Osbaldo would act as a state’s witness against Ramos and Compean: the feds wanted to prosecute the agents shooting the alien narcotics supplier.

To sweeten the immunity deal, the feds paid for Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila’s medical treatment of his ailing backside – a taxpayer-funded recuperation at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He showed his gratitude by breaking his immunity agreement in October 2005, when officers say he attempted to smuggle 1,000 pounds of marijuana into America. The prosecution further extended its immunity to this felony and sealed the indictment from jurors. Aldrete-Davila repaid this new shower of grace by suing the federal government for $5 million, alleging the shooting violated his civil rights. However, he agreed to help in their criminal prosecution, as well, and the feds are apparently happy to collaborate with the pusher as long as he helped put effective lawmen behind bars.
