  1. Frank - really glad I didn’t see that - “our” little hummer friends are really entertaining with their aerial acrobatics.  When their nectar runs low, they hover outside the screen and stare at me for replenishment, and sometimes buzz within a foot or so of me when I’m outside.

At the height of the recent storm that scared the shit out of a lot of people, one little guy came not once, but twice, to one of the feeders for nourishment - brave little sucker!

  4. I want a hummer feeder sooo bad-but hummer feeders also attract buzzies-and we ALL know how much I like buzzies.
The last thing i want are more wasps.
Poor hummer. Still Mantises are cool bugs.

  5. Frank - fantastic pictures..........I’ve had some hummingbirds come to my butterfly garden but so far haven’t been able to capture any pictures............no praying mantis’s here .......I remember seeing praying mantis’s back home in R.I. when I was growing up - loved them - thought they were a most beautiful insect........
