  1. Drew .. I don’t know if this has any baring on the subject but.

Years ago the wife worked at K-Mart in CA.  She worked for them for six years until a fellow named Wade Cook saved us.  Anyway.  She started as a cashier and by the time she left, she was a supervisor of cashiers.  Now the part about health ins.

You had to work a thousand hours a year to qualify for their health ins.
They made sure that only senior management had the hours in to be eligible. In my wife’s case, they had her working just under the 1,000 hrs.  She worked in high 900 range, as close to 1,000 as they could get, but not reach the thousand mark.

I’m so out of the loop here with things like health ins at home. Yeah I know. You might think hey, here I are with a pc and working electricity, why am I so far behind?
There isn’t enough room to explain it all.  And I should be reading more I admit, but living here and so reading about things almost exclusive to here (and Europe)seems to have become second nature. Which doesn’t mean I understand the insanity here either.
I think I need to seriously read more about the health care thing in USA that has so many folks upset. Hate to say it but, so far I’m clueless which I hope to rectify.

Are you sure about the ins. companies going bust?  Surely there will always be a need for private ins. And btw, our experience of some of those companies isn’t too good. And I’m not talking about fly by nighters. Between the hospitals overcharging and the ins. companies going along with outrageous prices for medication that hosp. were getting FREE, it isn’t any wonder that things have come to this.  I began to feel that the modern day robber barons were hospitals and insurance companies and to a large degree, even doctors.

  2. There has got to be a way to fix what the insurance companies, hospitals, and healthcare providers have clearly abused. Обамаcare just ain’t it.

  3. So what this is saying is that my 23 yo daughter who just got her certification of non-pre-existing condition from the Insurance co (she fell off our Insurance and we did not have $600 up front/$200 per month to keep it going) - won’t get Insurance when (or maybe that is IF) she gets a job (unless of course it is a UNION job)?!?
