  1. It was nice not sweltering while walking around the zoo yesterday - but I had to put my German Bettdecken (I always called it a Bett Zeug - maybe that’s a Bavarian thing) - think covered comforter. It’s a zillion years old - love them - too bad the stupid IKEA covers don’t fit correctly - but it still works. Too cold for me right now - of course that it rains at least once a day, makes it feel even colder.

    Glowball Warning indeed - give me a little bit of it right now!

  2. hey!  I happen to LIKE scrapple!  and we got down to some 34F last nite, and my freaking wife INSISTED on leaving the window (on MY side of the bed) cracked open.  Of course, when your address is “up the mountain, and around the corner” in Colorado, you have to expect a LITTLE late-spring abuse…

  3. It’s 79 F in Salt Lake right now.  Got the cooler going.  But we could wake up to a foot of snow in the morning, and it wouldn’t be the first time.

  4. On the bright side look at all the money you save not buying all those picnic items this weekend;
    “As Americans prepare for Memorial Day—the official kickoff to a summer grilling season of burgers and T-bones—rising beef prices have some consumers balking in the grocery aisles. Retail beef prices are widely expected to set new records in coming weeks after wholesale prices, or the amount meatpackers charge sellers for beef, hit an all-time peak this past week.”
    Hope & Change Muthufucka’s.
