  1. Wow, what a great looking dish and impressed by the menu too.

Only minutes after ten in the morning, and I’m hungry again.

Thanks to very wobbly gut, I can’t take any serious spice. Spicy foods cause much pain. Then too, I sometimes wonder cos I do recall more yootful days when a bit of spice did not too much harm, why folks buried the food in so much hot stuff it seemed to burn and make them sweat. How can one taste anything above the heat of the spice?

  2. I like Korean food - finally got a recipe for Yaki Mon du - a real one, not an adulterated American version. There was a Korean ‘fast’ food in Radcliff KY - great food. We also love Chinese and some Japanese. I have to admit that the rest - not so much. Spice really isn’t our thing.

I love trying new foods - but then I’ve lived outside the US - still trying to find those wonderful everyday recipes for some German dishes we love.

But the daughter is so skittish (and limited) in her food options and of course with no money - sadly trying out new things is not high on our list right now.

  3. This dish is almost all veg, except for an egg. Things have seasonings, but none of it is really sharp or stinging. And they serve the hot sauce on the side.

The bibimbap link shows that you can make this kind of dish from just about anything, and veggies are relatively inexpensive.

I’m almost amazed they can get away with serving the bowl without some kind of heat shield around it. It would give you third degree burns if you put your hands on it. There is another version of the dish served cold, without hot sauce.
