3. Lol ... Yeah it couldda been the way I wrote that but.  At the beginning of my post I mentioned it was in the USA. 

   I once had an experience where our house in Riverside was on this hillside. A corner property and it looked down the rest of the street directly into the back yard of a house down there. So anyway it’s like maybe two blocks away downhill. The entire small yard was taken up by a pool and concrete patio.  On which and tied, was a medium sized black dog that never stopped barking. They were out at work, kids in school I guess tho it never mattered. Bark,bark all day and very often at night and well into the night.
   So, I complained and they simply ignored and so I went to our homeowners assoc. and lodged a complaint. I was asked if I had any evidence. Well as it happens I did. More than a months worth dated and times on I don’t know how many cassettes. This was ages before computers. In addition I had still photos and a large lens.
   All for naught. Had a hearing where I was informed that the Autrey’s (that was their name) had neighbors with them to testify they never heard the dog, and one of the panel of ass wipes that questioned me asked how I could know it was that dog as he had two and if they barked he could never tell which if the 2 were doing the barking.
   Apparently the recordings and the pictures were dismissed out of hand. One of them asked me if the recordings were made at an open or closed window. Open as it happened but I told them all they had to do was come over to my house unannounced at any time of their choosing and see and hear for themselves.  None did.
   It was only my wife who stopped me from getting a rifle (clear and open shot downhill) as first of all she said it was the fault of the Autreys not the poor dog tied up all day.
   Sometimes tho it wasn’t tied, I always wished it might fall into their pool but it never did.

   Before that in Franklin,Tn directly across the street ..... oh hell. That’s another story best left.  The beast did finally die, and no, I had nothing to do with that although it was in the planning stages.
